Hue

Citadel and Royal Tombs in Central Vietnam

IMGP0275b

Despite continuous rain and cold, Hue was far more interesting than expected: the citadel and the royal tombs are not too old (18th / 19th c.), but the parks with artificial lakes and wooden buildings, red lacquer and green glazed tile roofs topped by porcelain mosaic dragons… really beautiful. Quite East Asian.
